Mobile Self-Storage Estimator

Estimating what size container to use or how many storage containers will be needed can be simple if you follow a few easy steps.
 
Step 1: Make a mental inventory of your home and contents. Make sure to include your basement, garage, closets, attic, storage space and any outside patio furniture or sheds.
 
Step 2: Determine what you will be sold at a garage sale or given to charity and what is left over you will need to put into storage or it will be moved.
 
Step 3: A 16ft MI-BOX container is 8ft wide and 8ft tall which will be approximately the same size as a good sized bedroom. (12 x 14).  Simply start imagining packing your household items into that room. You should be able to fit about 3-4 normal sized rooms packed into that bedroom size. Remember to fill in all void spaces and pack it tightly.
 
Step 4:  If you have items that did not fit, then simply image doing it all over again to fill another 16ft storage container. If you will not fill all of that sized container, then you may only need a 12ft MI-BOX storage container (available at most MI-BOX locations).
 
Tip: Most 4 bedroom homes can be moved in one semi trailer which is 48ft long.
That is the same as 3 - 16ft MI-BOX mobile storage containers.
